dana 60 help

alright guys and gals im finaly starting on the dana 60 transplant in my bronco got my home maid coil buckets on and raidius arm brackets made and welded on and then started to break the axle down to inspect and rebuild and found a broken outer shaft i guess i went about that bass ackwards but thats not what i need help with was wondering where i might be able to score some 35 spline outers for a decent price maybe one of you wonderfull boggers around the world might have a set around your lookin to get rid of thanks mike

I don't have any spares, but jeffs bronco graveyard has decent prices on the 35 spline outers, check them out.

Alright guys got my heim joints thanks for the help now i would like to know what you guys think about putting a truss on it or is it just over kill and this is a littl off subject but can i heat and bend my pitman arm with out breaking or weakning it i moved th axle forward and it looks like it might hit any info would be nice

There's no need to truss your axle unless you plan on jumping the poop out of your Bronco. Even at that, you're more likely to break a knuckle than bend a tube with your springs so close to the wheels.

Don't heat and bend your pitman arm, it'll end up snapping. You can buy drop pitmans for what you're trying to do.

Is the axle a 78/79 or one of the later models?

It is off a 89 f 350 got it for 250 bucks so i could not turn it down but i was looking for a 78-79 model they just wanted my arm for the f!@@!ng thing

Later model D60's don't have neck-down inner shafts like the 78-79 did so when you buy replacement outers there's no need to do the inners as well unless you were going to chromolly shafts.

Don't forget that you'll need new hubs if you upgrade the outer shafts to 35 spline.
