economy shackle flip

hey guys can i flip the factory shackles in the rear of my bronc or is there a way to do a flip with out spending 200 bucks i figurd maybe one of you have done this and maybe have some good pointers

Get yourself another set of the stock front hangars for the rear spring and put 'em at the rear. Works out pretty nicely.

I made these. Not too dificult.

Either do this, or flip the existing brackets upside down and move them 2 inches towards the front of the truck. Not recommended for a heavy payload. Using the front hangers will net you a little more lift I believe.

you must not be a member on fullsizebronco.com yet? yes you can flip the rear shackle over.

You can either flip the factory hangers, make your own, or get the Sky hangers. I went with Sky... $160 and they are beefy, no worries. I actually got mine for $100 from a guy local who ended up not using them. Easy 4" or more lift. Like others said move 'em forward for more lift if you want... About 1" forward for .5" lift. This will put more load on the shackle though, so maybe not a good idea if flipping factory hangers.

If you flip the shackles you'll want them angled forward, 30-45 degrees. The picture above of the shackle flip is a poor angle for the shackle and doesn't allow the leaf spring to flex the way it should. It also makes for a stiff bouncy ride. If the hanger was moved forward about 3" it would be perfect.

Started my flip today guys got it mocked in there the 350 mounts have a 3/4 hole i think and the bronc shackle took a 1/2 bolt what should i do about that sleeve it or what
