Fully ported they will support 800 HP on a 12 to 1 stroker combo with a solid roller in the 270 @ .050" range intake duration.
Not too shabby for a small port head.

The starting at price does include comp flat tappet spring package, sinus stainless valves made in israel, rocker studs, guideplates and pc seals. I use the actual serdi cutters used by TFS to cut their seats. Kind of a budget version of sorts.
Upgrades such as roller spring package, Ferrea valves an a victor port match are available.
Shipping to florida will be about $70.00

545 87LX 11-09-2006, 04:25 PM Scotty,
I have been reading the BBF forum for about 1.5 years. I must say that there is a tremendous amount of information that is put forth by experts. I thank you. I bought a '87 Mustang w/ a 545 by CHP. The engine has Probe flats with -3cc tops, Crane solid w/ .621 lift with 292 duration and 72 overlap degrees @.020. RPM range is 4200 to 7200. Stall is 4000rpm. The heads are Dove with light polish and 2.25 and 1.76 valves. BG 850 carb on a Stealth. Gears are 3.27( a little high). Exhaust is Hooker Comp with 2" tubes and 3.5" collector, exhaust pipes and mufflers.
I would like to stay with the above combination except add alum heads and some new ceramic headers. My present compression is 13.3:1 however I would like to reduce it to 11.5 to 12.5. Can I use the Street heads to get the chamber volume increased to mid 80's to low90's. Or what other options are available?
Thank you for your help.
Mike

Mike,
The TFS streets have a 72 to 74 cc chamber which is a tic smaller than most D0VE castings.
The only large chamber casting usable on a stroker is the edelbrock...

545 87LX 11-16-2006, 10:32 PM Scotty,
Sorry about the pm. I can not find it.
My question was about using BT heads with the std Ford exhaust location since you can get 80cc chamber. Then I could use all parts when installing the BT like the Eds. Of the two heads and considering my present build and future HP goals which would you use? The 545 has the normal 4.390 bore and 4.5 stroke. I would have the BT or Eds ported to stage 3 which includes chamber mods, full exhaust port and some intake work.
Thank you for your help.

Mike,
Shoot me an email or telephone me.
The BT's would be a better choice but might be harder to find. The Edelbrocks are allright especially when ported but are not as good as the B/T stuff.

My tentative next project is a 514/521 that I am putting in a '73 MACH I. This is a strictly street (albeit VERY, VERY strong) motor that will run on 93 octane.
I will be using a D0VE block with EAGLE bushed 6.605 rods coupled with J&E forged pistons and a forged stroker crank (TBD). I am looking at a compression ratio of around 10:1 with the 72cc heads while allowing for "growth" and ensuring longevity and reliability - - I may decide to throw spray at the motor sometime in the future.
The question is how much would a "full" porting of the TFS heads add to the base price?
Thanks.
BT

All of the TFS streets I sell are fully ported.
Cost varies depending on which brand of valves and which spring package the client requires.
Shoot me an email detailing which cam and intake you want to use along with whether or not you want ferrea valves or a mid level S/S valve line to save on costs.
Fully ported with a victor match these castings will support 800 HP with a good solid roller cam.

We are getting lead times to about 30 days on the TFS streets., mabey less depending on how backed up we are at the time of the order. Still clearing the backlog.
Shipping is about $55.00 to $60.00
Thanxxx for looking.
