--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
RHP 521 build.
+ .030" D1VE block. .025 piston to wall clearance. Ported oil pump to filter to galley passages.
HV melling oil pump. 30 psi idle and 60 cruise.
4.3" scat stroker kit with "H" beam rods and KB 402 step quench pistons w / 20.5 cc dish set at + .002 out of the hole. Static C/R of 9.45 to 1. Main bearing clearance .003" and rod bearing clearance .002".
RHP large valve D3 heads flowing 340/198 cfm, adjustable valvetrain with crower steel roller rockers 1.75 ratio.
RHP recurved dizzy, 12 degrees initial, 34 degrees total in by 3200 rpm. Double pinned.
Performer RPM intake port matched to felpro 1230. 1/2" 4 hole insulator spacer.
Holley 750 vac carb stock jetting.
Custom comp EX truck grind. 226/234 @ .05" lift` .560"/.580" lift on a 109 LSA installed at 105 ICL. Elgin double roller timing set.
FPA tri Y headers with ball flange, 2.5" duals, "H" pipe and dynomax ultra mufflers.
This combo made 320 RWHP @ 4700 to 5,300 RPM and 395 pound feet @ 3,700 rpm on a dynojet chassis dyno. This was in a 4 wheel drive 1 ton dually box van with a c-6 and mild stall towing convertor.
Add full length headers 1 7/8" primary with a 3" collector and a holley 850 or 950 carb and the combo would make 550 HP and 620 pound feet of torque.
Idle is reasonable (13" vacuum at 850 RPM) especially with a relatively tight convertor. Driveability is great. Cranking PSI is exactly 185.
Regards,
Scott Johnston / RHP
