    Hello again Dman, I still have not taken the plunge, question. What are your thoughts on using a 200r4 G.M. trans? Still would have L/U and a very common part.

    Trans is working great, 2500 stall, 435HP, if you are locked up and OD is turned off you can hit it hard with no issues, if you go in and out of lock up you will be fine and yes when it goes out of lock up the rpm drops.

    just checked my messages thanks for getting back, how is your trans holding up/ what is your stall speed/ est. h.p. level of engine. I am building a 521 bb, p-51 roller cam, est. h.p. 550/625 h.p.another question, if you have a 3000 stall converter and hit lock-up it will l/u at 3000, what if you back off throttle at speed and the converter slips back to say 2000 rpm, them hit l/u, then go back to cruising throttle opening, will this give you a lower cruise r.p.m.? thanks, stevo in corona, ca.

    Sorry I haven't been on and didn't see your message, adapter worked great and the 12* turn doesn't affect anything, there is a guy on youtube that rebuilds a 4r75W and does an amazing job of it he makes it look easy, which it isn't really that bad at all. I can chat next weekend if that works for you.

    hi, dman, i am lloking to do same swap with same adaptor on a 71 mustang W/521 bb and have some questions. is there any chance of chatting with you on the phone on the weekend ( free phone minutes!) i really would like to try this swap but am not sure of this adaptor, positioning of shift linkage since trans is rotated 12 degrees, ect. were you able to re-use stock style lockup clutch converter, ect.ect. i live in ca.

    like that paint scheme. I'm new to this forum and only have a little ole 351cleveland in my 69f100. Building it slowly. Have had the 2v heads milled, ported, 3angle job and a bowl cut. Gilmore belt drive and gear drive and some chrome goodies but waiting on my cam and lifters from Comp cams. Scraping it down to repaint (this paint job is 9 yrs old),
