    intake out tomorow , had ear infecdtion last 4 days!!!! dizzy sucks, intake out tomorrow

    I built it in front of my barn where I had the trap was at where I had your truck. Have you did anything with your lately if you hear of anybody wanting or needing a good 460 I still have the one that was in my ranger I take $1500 it has just been freshen up that from intake to oil pan all they will need is a carb water pump and dizzy and the asy for the front.

    Still around not on much myself lately trying to get my shop finished got to get it ready to pour the floor. Rick is going to drop off the form boards today I will start forming it up Friday and get some dirt to level up. Rick is going to help me get the floor poured and leveled out then let it sit for a week. Then I will put the Ranger in it and start taking it apart for the trans and front end change. I am ready to see what the 552 will do with the glide it didn't fare to good with the c6 it blew right thro the c6 still ran the best speed yet 103 in the and 131 in the 1/4 with the trans slipping like crazy. I got out of it and let it coast and it still ran 131 thro the 1/4.

    No I never mess with the heads after I found the bad valves I think you had Napa to do the valve job on them and I never pulled them back apart.I don't remember what the lift was but it wasn't much over stocknI think it was like a rv cam

    Yes they are from the GM line they are alot lighter than the c6 plus only 1 shift plus cheap to build and will help com the lauch down some.It be this winter before I have it built unless the c6 gives the gost up 1st.If I ever get to the track on tnt night

    stock about 800to 1000 rpm I found a shortshaft powerglide for $75 complete

    Got a lead on one from a guy at work he checking on it for set for sbf on the flywheel what kind you looking for auto or standard

    Sure hope it does just hope my trans will hold the power if you hear of a powerglide I can pick up cheap let me know.Just a regular pg out of a chevy i prefer it be orginal or just stock rebuild because Rick's transmission guy will set it up and cut the bell off and put a bbf bell on it.So I really don't want to put much in it just to trow most of it away.

    At work right now I got the crank and 4 pistons in the 552 today before work should get the other 4 in tommorrow .

    internal yours is a dive block if my memory serves me right look on the side where the starter goes if it dive it is internal,if it d9ab it is external

    I got about $3000 worth of parts and machine work to get done then I will be getting so time off or I will have a new job some where ealse.

    I make good money better than Pace but the hours suck the Ranger is ready just to get time to go for some tnt it should be faster than ever now.It should run mid to low 6s now I am plaining to build a 545 for it over the winter if I can manage to save enough money.I have about half of it now did have almost all of it until the wife had to have some test run MRI is not cheap even with insurance.But the family comes 1st the 545 will happen when I get the money got the the new front end everything but the spring kit.I want to make a few runs with the head swap to see how much it helps before I start the new frontend.

    i have a set that came with my gasket i can't use with mine if you need them but with gas prices like they are you might can buy a set as cheap as driving over and getting them

    no you don't need it most of the aluminum intakes are flat on the bottom and don't have the heat riser for the chock like the factory intake.With that being said the factory is not flat and oil tends to stick and cake up on the bottom of the intake around the riser area the valley pan just helps keep the oil off the bottom and build up to fall off in the engine.
