Hi, I just got on this site still learning this forum thing. But I recently picked up a 77 merc grand marquis. I came across this site searching for some headers for the car and google came up with AndyMarkV's build thread. Which by the way is a super bad@ss car. But I'm glad I found some other "boat" enthusiasts.

Scoured the 'puter for my build pics. GONE!!! None but one to be found! My wife or my youngest daughter somehow lost/deleted them. I could f-ing scream and cry! My first serious build, three thousand dollars worth, and 1 pic to show for it. I do have some pics after the install. I'll get 'em up over the weekend.

Talked with you a while back. Got me a 76 Linc Mk.4 from the gold luxury group. Fantastically beautiful car with a fresh 460 that I detailed to the n'th degree. Detailed the engine compartment as well. She's up an running but can't seem to lock in a fine tune. We're 40 over, hi comp pistons, block and heads milled, heads done, one step past rv cam, and deleted all emissions. Kept the 4350 spreadbore carb (overhauled). Is that smooth idle gone forever what with all the machining?

Hi, I started a group named "Gun Boats," please join. All of us with mid to full sized cars should join, so we can help each other, because we have similar cars, if not the same. I also sent you a friend request. But I must be pushing 5000lbs with all the power options and interior, maybe 4300lbs, I don't know. The car is bigger than any full size car today while still being considered a mid-sized car. Now-a-days the 70's full-size car must be comparable to a motor home or bus. Ha Ha. Thank you.

Sure thing! I'll help you in anyway I can.
We should have started with an LTDII... It would have been lighter!

I have a 1977 LTDII, similar to your car, I figure we can share ideas. Thanks.
