I'm going to do a zf5 swap in my 79 Bronco and I found this 460 internal balanced flywheel. The guy said he used it until the clutch fell apart on him. I was wondering if it is worth buying and how many times can it be resurfaced? It's a ford racing billet flywheel.

What do yall think?

How can I take it to a reputable machine shop when it is listed on Ebay?

I'm just trying to determine if I should buy it or not from what it currently looks like. I mean, pictures don't always justify but I was wondering if SOMEONE on here who could look at it and possibly give me a YAY or NAY. So, in the mean time...I'm still undecided.

If I lived near this cat I would go check it out but he lives in Fla and I am in GA. Plus a new one of these cost $300 or so. If it can be used again and work then I want to save money.

Looks like it is in very serviceable condition, no hot sports . There is a little scoring and you may ask the seller on a guesstemate on how deep it is. It usaully only takes about .010 - .015 to clean up so it should be able to be machined 4 or 5 times at that rate.

as long as the flywheel bolts dont hit the clutch disc springs you should be ok,ive had to use thinner flywheel bolts from ford racing before to re use old flywheels
