I got a weiand tunnel ram on my bbf and want to turn the carbs side ways. But the kits for linkage say that there for 4150 style carbs and iam using 4160 vacuum carbs. Will the same linkage work for my carbs. Thanks for the help..
I never had that problem,I use side hung bowls on the front & center hung bowls on the back with jet extensions. The carbs almost touch each other, but they do clear. The car 60fts low 1.30s sometimes high 1.20s with no starving.
the linkage has a huge amount of adjustability, I cant see why it wouldnt work. You need the ford specific base plate, to mount the stuff on the manifold, its real easy to set up.
As 460Vega said use the jet extensions in the back bowls. The main reason for mounting the carbs sideways is to make tuning easier as bowl access is not obstructed.
Remember when you are jetting them one # up or down x8 makes a big change!
