I got a 7.3 PSD that has around 350hp in a ons with a built auto. A guy around here wants to race his 460 I believe it got headers and exhaust ans intake. Who will win

You will have to give more info than that. What vehicle is the 460 in? How much does you truck weigh compared to his, etc.

He could have 350HP to the flywheel as well.

My money is on the stroke, given the info you've provided. There's not enough mods on that 460 to overcome the torque that 7.3 has.

Lol. Id be selective on which duramax i lined up with. Those trucks are light and can be powerful with only few mods and can easily outrun a 7.3 with the same mods. Same thing with newer common rail cummins trucks

x2. i had a 97 f250 powerstroke that i used to sled pull with. i rebuilt the motor, installed 160cc injectors, H2E turbo, superduty intercooler, superduty HPOP, and custom tuning from elite diesel. while it was quick for what it was it was still only about as fast as a 6.0 with a tuner and exhaust.

BUT, hooked to the sled it was a different story. the horsepower of the smaller cubed newer diesels had a hell of a time pulling with the torque of the 7.3. and so i managed to win the points race for 2007 with my old stroker against some new (at the time) diesels. :D

Yeah I've got 300cc 100% nozzles with a ball bearing 66mm turbo all the supporting parts to make that stuff work as well. Running a ceramic dual disk and a manual. It hangs in there with the newer truck sled pulling. You just can't beat the newer engines they've just can along way from the ole 7.3. I'm working on a 6.4 single turbo sled puller for the 2.6 class now:D

I've had four 6.4's and one 6.7. I had absolutely no complaints or problems with it. All my 6.4s had warranty problems. Then had to do all the deletes just to keep them reliable. Had one 6.0 and one was enough. I've currently got one 6.4 and one 7.3. I've had the engines out of both! Lol. If you go for stock to stock the 6.7 beats the pants of all other powerstrokes. But they have big weaknesses when turned up ie; turbo and rods fly apart after 550 hp at the rear wheels. I work on diesels for a living doing lots of performance work and the 6.4 is by far the easiest to get big hp out of for the dollar.

I love fords but they just can't seem to get the diesels right(besides the 7.3) That is why I have a Dmax, which has been a great truck, I can light em up with the cargo trailer on if i do it right.lol

Let me guess u a cummins fanboy? Just Because u couldnt smoke out a intersection Im sorry u have to talk about ur terrible experience. Also 6.0s were way worst and so What My 7.3 runs and drives just Fine for me and it cheaper than a newer truck I can mod and build up My truck for 60k and eat new trucks and have as good of a ride

Don't need no rag burner either. That was the problem with my 7.3. Always working on it. Good Ford shop though, had a nice little F150 loaner, traded them. I'll keep my 460, thanks. Glad you like your PowerJoke.....that's what makes the world go round.
