THOSE A-HOLES OVER AT FOX CANCELED THE SPEED CHANNEL!! I MEAN WHAT THE HELL!! My DirectTV box has been saying that the Speed Channel has moved to Fox Sports 1 on channel 219. Only it hasn't moved. THEY CANCELED IT!! I have not seen one car show on the worthless channel 219.

I'M PISSED OFF ABOUT IT!! The Speed Channel, the Militiary channel and Discovery Science channel is pretty much all I ever watch.

5299 CHANNELS AND NOTHING IS ON!! SCREW THOSE PEOPLE!!!!!!!! I'm canceling my DirectTV in protest. I'll watch the grass grow instead!!

Been thinking about posting about Speed's demise too. It's one of my top three go-to stations. Now it's just gone? No more Pass Time? No more Pinks? No more Wind Tunnel?

I have noticed some other channels coming out with more car oriented shows, like the Travel channel, but it's no consolation. Probably going to cancel cable completely after football season.

Oh hell... I didn't even thing about Pass Time. That is one of my all time favorite shows! What will I do without my Paige Simpson fix!! Oh yeah... I think Pass Time has cars on it too!

But seriously this sucks. I can't believe they took it off. I'd love to have a talk with the moron that came up with this plan. You know. Behind the barn of course.

Sooooo lame.....I was going to post, too, but our cable provider just got bought out and I thought maybe they had just taken it off my stations with the new company. Now my only tv car fix will be Top Gear and Wheeler Dealers on BBC (the British Top Gear is so much better than our version), and some of the stuff on Velocity Channel. But neither of those does jack squat with drag racing, especially grass roots stuff like Speed did. Plus, the Barrett-Jackson auctions were just awesome to watch. I used to know exactly what I'd be doing after work for a week when those were on. No more cold beer and barbeque and Pinks. Now it's warm beer and fish and chips and Motorweek. Lame.

Yup, I asked my wife the other day if she switched my favorite channels around on me! Can't believe Speed is just gone. I always DVR'd Pass Time and pinks all out and watched them when I can. Mav TV and Velocity have some decent shows, but they're no speed channel. I'm really pissed about this!!

I thought DirectTv just dropped it. But SPEED is gone for everybody, eh?
That sucks! What was the deal with Pass Time? Seems like they were all reruns.
Was that show cancelled? I never could find any decent info regarding it, online.

Never heard of Mav Channel either, and I have cable (was Optimum, now some name I can't recall bought them out)......but, I get to go home tonight and try to deceifer what those British guys are trying to say while flogging some fancy exotics on BBC while I drink my Budweiser.....

I have Direct TV and have MavTV. It's channel 214. They have some good shows, and racing coverage. I believe Lucas oil owns the channel but not 100%... it's on the front fender of Larry Morgans Mustang Pro Stocker fellas! Sheesh!! :) Velocity has some good car shows also. It's channel 281 on Direct TV.

I have Time Warner Cable, MAVTV is on 1340. I checked it out and all the program listings into tomorrow afternoon are for Cage fighting and stuff pertaining to fighting, along with Bonanza and the Carol Burnett show??? Must be something different??? You have to purchase a package with 5 other stations for $6.95 a month. No thanks, my cable bill is enough already.

What the heck happened to Barret-Jackson?

FoxSports1 (the new channel) is only showing 4 hours of the auction total? Two hours tonight, two hours on Sunday?!?! I don't know about you guys, but I have always looked forward to Barret-Jackson Scottsdale this time of year as kind of a kick-off to the new season. Speed used to have it on for 8-12 hours a day, Thursday though Sunday?

I really hope somebody in the car industry is getting their heads together on this deal.

Well, it looks like FS1 must have been getting some flack because they've upped coverage today to noon-7pm.

Probably best to keep an eye on it to see if we get any coverage tomorrow or more than the two hours that are currently scheduled for Sunday.

okay, so it looks like BJ is on Fox Business Network for a few more hours, but I'm still not finding anything tomorrow.

Seems like some of the Powerblock shows have gone to NBC Sports channel?

I was watching SPEED last night, still on the tube here in Canada. I'm not sure for how long though?
