Help identifying these heads.

I bought these heads recently. They were advertised as Blue Thunder heads with raised ford exhaust ports. They don't look like the heads Blue Thunder sells now.

Actually there is no identifying marks that I can read on them. There was something stamped on the end of one of them, but someone stamped a bunch of "X"s over the letters/numbers.

I measured the valves, they are 2.25" and 1.76".

Does anyone know what heads these are? Are they worth sinking some money into? One disassembled one needs the guides replaced, and they have quite a lot of porosity.

Thanks.

Jess

I did have a few questions.

The humps in the exhaust ports, do you think that there would be any advantage to removing them? If the heads were experimental, I am thinking that the hump must have not been much a good idea because no other heads that I have seen use them.

Do you have an estimate what these heads power potential would be?

Did the other sets you had have porosity issues as well?

Are these heads more suitable as "collectors" items than a performance head? I would be happy with 600-650 HP on a 545 stroker. They need some work done, guides, valve job, resurfacing, and possibly having the chambers coated. Would you think that they were worth putting money into? I am not in the position to drop a couple grand into a new set of BBF heads.

My pistons are flat tops so I would need large chambers to keep the motor pump gas friendly, do you remember the chamber size?

Do you know if they have hardened valve seats?

Thanks for your time.

Jess
