We have developed CNC ports for these cast iron heads.if you want to save some $$$ with stock ported heads and still make respectable power than this might be your answer.they range in flow from 340-375 cfm intake and 220-250 exh.with 290cc port volume.they have 2.250/1.760 valve sizes. we even built a 518 stroker to test them on. It made 702-724 HP @6000 rpm.and 684 torque@4500,note to shabby for stock ported heads that look stock from the outside.you can send us your heads and get just the cnc ports cut for 750.00 per pair or we can finnish them with bronze guides and 3 angle radiused valve job and milled flat for 1195.00.So if you want to soup up your stroker for less $$,just let us know we will make it happen.check out mudslinger 518 at youtube,or foxlakeracing.com,thanks,ron
what do you mean when you say you developed a CNC port for these stock heads? are you completely producing new heads like the stocks or are you having some kind of machine doing all the porting.
sorry if this sounds dumb, but i can't picture what you mean.
I don't know what is talked about on their site however, RHS used to have iron F.I. replacement heads both E8 and F3 but, they sold the tooling to EngineQuest.
Air flow of 250 on the exhaust side even with braze filling and using a tube would be astronomical.
These are a stock EFI replacement head RHS made for a couple of years.its way thicker than the stock piece.lots of room for porting.the only issue is we have to make adapter plates to get a carb. style intake to bolt on.thats what we did on the 518.they do flow 375/250 with pipe, thats what made 724hp on the 518.
so far we take a stock iron 429/460 head and cnc port it cut a bigger valve job, leave the chamber as cast[usually around 72cc dove head or 95cc for D3 head]no welding required.
We can make one,but those heads are so big already I figured if we make the cross section much bigger the torque will really suffer.not to mention those heads are kinda rare$$$.thats why I spent time on the other heads smaller cross section with good flow will make a wide powerband.but if enough guys want it done we can do it.I basically made the DO,D3,and EFI heads for the inbetween stock and exspensive alum. heads.
E.F.I. heads are the factory heads[87-92] we cnc the ports only.chamber is still stock as it came from ford.we have 2 sets of ported castings we can provide[1195.00 plus 250.00 core charge] or you can send yours in to save the 250.00. or if you have a buddy that can put the guides in and finnish the valve job,we can just cut the ports for 750.00.Hope this helps, ron
