Having ford racing roller cam bearings installed in my new eliminator block. I know they require a extra hard matriel... Is that different than what any solid roller cam would be made of? Also it Says they are 2.125 Id. Is that the standard size used on bbf cams?

One last question why do I only see 3 current threads in the forums?

2.125" nominal is that standard size of the camshaft journals for the 385 Series.

The needle roller camshaft bearings require a camshaft that is typically made of 8620 billet steel, however the 8620 billet steel camshaft core that is being used should also have the proper hardening process executed on the its cam journals if it is to be used with the needle roller camshaft bearings.

Change your settings with the drop down menu at the bottom of the page.
