Hello Everyone,

I know many of you have been upset at the sale of the forum, however I was immediately notified that the new Admin for the site was to be Don Roy, who among other things was the Tech Editor for Modified Mustangs and has a pretty good amount of resources for helping the site. I was glad to see that it went into the hands of some capable, and not just a deck jockey.

460Ford has been a great site that I have enjoyed popping into on occassion and I have always enjoyed that it is very professional, and while there is plenty of fun, it is a good place to go for advice. After talking with Don we both agreed that there was a need for a more "RACE" only type of tech forum, especially in the Ford world where we have so many True Blue Faithfulls.

This is the reason why we started the Race Tech Forums here, so that questions that weren't regarding basic engine building or basic street car info could be discussed. We have a large amount of very knowlegable people here, and I invite everyone to help out. I am simply overseeing and helping to keep things running smooth. I don't see a need for any changes to this site, in terms of structure or content.

I will be the first to tell everyone, that I don't know it all and when I am asked something that I don't know the answer to, I will at least help you find someone who does!

Thanks Kid, but I'll pass on "The tube steak"...... How's that gear recommendation coming along? Or do we need to consult with some additional experts? So far you've only answered my questions with insults....Not Very becoming of a bright young kid like yourself.

Cale, I have got to ask why would a guy of your status in the racing scene be interested in spending time on a website like this.

There has to be some sort of financial gain in this for you some how , be it exposing your sponsors to the forum etc. Is this a new marketing avenue for you and a few others or what ?

Not being negative about it , just looking for an honest answer . You have got to be above the average Joe as far as engine building and race car tec is concerned.

I understand the reason for the question... but I don't really have a special status, I just drive a fast car and am fortunate enough to have grown up being around this stuff all my life. I am not looking to market anything here. Granted my sponsors are in my signature, but that is it... just like everyone else. To be 100% honest, my business is in consultation and tuning, as well as selling some parts, and if people want help in that way, I am more than happy to, but I get no real financial gain. I enjoy sitting down and helping others, and it is always fun to get new challenges, and they are constantly presented in a place like this. If I don't know the answer though... I will do my best to find you someone who does!

Bottom line... I like this site, you are all FORD people and that is exactly what I am! I want to see this place succeed. If anyone knows an answer to a question... drop it in! If you see someone looking for a service or something, and you know a place that is reputable and can help... let them know!

Believe it or not... I have a tiny little budget compared to the guys I race against... and we (my dad and I) have always had to work a little harder, get a little less sleep, and spend a little less to make it where we wanted, but I love racing against the best and I owe my accomplishments to many more people than just myself! Through those people I have accumulated a lot of contacts and friends in the industry over the year, and I am always glad to pass along some info and some help when I can to those who could use that information.

Cale brought this up to me last year at the IHRA race in Baton Rouge, LA. last year. He told me that he though majority of the members here are the real deal and would be interested in helping out answering questions. Since then I have mentioned it to the past site owner and descussed it with Cale. Only to hear nothing else about it until after the website was sold.

As far as I guess the new owner thought it would be a good idea and they just happen to be buddies.

That is all I know.

I agree 100%. Having been an IHRA member for many years, the Aronson name is quite familiar to me. Having someone around that has competed at the level they have will be of benefit to a lot of people, if they ask the right questions. Welcome aboard Cale.
