About 3 weeks ago I sent money to a member to purchase a A460 block. At the time he told me to give him 3 days lead time so that he could get the block out of storage.Ok no problem for me as long as I have the block in my hands in 1 1/2 or 2 weeks. So every other day there has been another story about why he can get the block out of storage.I spoke with this guy last nite on the phone and told him just refund my money,he says ok.I call him today and he tells me I have to wait for the money order to clear his account in about another week.I sent Him United States Postal Money Orders. Then He goes on to tell me that he has sold the block to someone else and he may be able to call this guy and get the money a little quicker so that he can refund my money.I really try to have restrant and respect for older people but this guy is about to make me blow a gasket!!! Mostly because I've set up appointments with my builder to get my engine in for him to start but I have no block.I don't like to be looked upon as a tire kicker. When this guy told me he was gonna refund my money I TOLD HIM TO TAKE 25.00 OUT OF IT TO PAY FOR OVER NITE SHIPPING Because I found a block local.I told the local uy with the block I'd see him with the cash at the end of this week. Now I have to call him back with a excuse.I Have a strong dislike for people that don't do what they say. What would you guys do???

I have no idea who you are or who you bought the block off of, and I certainly don't want to step on anyone's toes here. But if what you say, is true, then someone is screwing you around. What can you do is a good question. I have no idea! I guess things on this forum (as with other forums) are sold pretty much on the honor system. And that means buyer beware! I bought from a couple members on here and they were truthful guys, shipped fast, product just as described and I would buy from them with confidence again in a heartbeat, Great guys.
I hear these horror stories like yours and I DO hesitate to purchase from guys I don't know. I consider myself a very truthful guy when dealing with others and expect the same. Most guys on here don't like to sell on eBay, many would rather sell here, under the radar and avoid the fees. But eBay has buyer protection and that means eBay won't let this type problem go uncorrected.
I am still looking for a junk or lonely C8,C9 or D0VE head for practice porting, and would pay what some guys on here ask for one plus shipping. But how dose one keep from being screwed, like you apparently were? I don't know!
Best advice is buy from guys on here with a good rep as a stand-up member, or buy from local members. And if all else fails after buying from a nearby member and getting screwed, put a 1/2 inch ratchet in your back pocket and have a face to face with them. Money back or teeth laying on the floor like someone spilled a GD box of pink chicklets. And I expect the same for screwing ANYONE over!!!!! Sorry guy, I don't know what else to say.

That someone is me. Him sending the payment overnight , told him to send it standard mail.
Reason- adds time for me to dig out a large sonw bank, plus he was warned the weather would set the time.

I will take most of the blame for your deal going wrong, say 60% the rest on him beacuse he was told there could be a delay . I broke my rule, no items from storage sold in winter

I could have transfer money to that account, that rule wasn't broken, each has its purpose
Block was sold to a local. I Did have the funds in my hands after talking to pick514
pick514

pick514 said he didn't want to hear about my dealing with the new buyer of the block.
he said it had nothing to do with him .Only our real matters to him. Which is true, but I then get a story on how he sued someone and his layer. WHATS that got to do with me?

pick514 , you should stay home Wensday, I don't think the postman knocks.

BTW- pick514 I think your an OK guy, like it was said - not all was in my control

It's fraud.

One good thing is you sent United States Postal Money Orders. The federal government does not like fraud and felonies committed with their Money Orders. He cashed them, didn't ship the block and claims he sold it to someone else. If there is no written offer by you to cancil the order then it didn't happen, he sold YOUR BLOCK!

You have email communications setting up the deal? You have his phone number? You have his address? He cashed the US Postal Money orders? Then you have his balls too! It Might be time to squeeze.

When you feel it is time, email him an offer. Return all the money you sent AND $25 extra for your troubles and you tell him you won't call the U.S. Postal inspection service. You might send him this link http://ehome.uspis.gov/fcsexternal/default.aspx and explain how getting into the G-man's database for fraud can really suck. Give him 3/4 days to pay up, no excuses. You might want to send the same message in registered mail to him. After you get your money, let us all know who it is, please. If he doesn't pay, you have to go see a lawyer.
Good luck,

Pick514 , as I said, I had no idea who you where dealing with, but I DO believe 2slow to be a stand-up guy. There must be some kind of misunderstanding between you guys about your block deal. I find it hard to believe 2slow would intentionally screw you over on a deal. You guys need to talk, I feel confident he will make things right with you ASAP.
