Relative to the old/new A460 intake manifolds, I've plowed that ground twice....the new/big manifold makes...

With a 4.390" bore a 2.300" or 2.350" intake...

With a 4.390" bore a 2.300" or 2.350" intake valve will clear....do not go bigger than 1.88" on the exh. side.

There was a part # for the tall for the trigger dist. several years ago.

Like has been said, a guy would have to put the 429-460 gear on the 351W unit and it'll be the same deal.

Seems that you have a new A460 block.....i.m.o. spend your money on a quality set of lifters and go...

I'd forget about the main girdle....get an A460 block if you are worried about the block strenght.

A carb like a QFT FX 4700 works good.

The instructions do not say not to hone the hub.....it says not to hone it for a slip on fit.

The damper needs a press on fit to do it's job properly. Like Randy was saying, as little as .0009"...
