The torque peak is a lot higher than the HP peak, RPM wise. I've always seen the torque peak below the HP peak, RPM wise.

On a ~500 horse build you won't need a cam that will lift more than what a stock sled style rocker won't handle (the D0VE C's have a good rocker set up as is). Save your money on aftermarket rockers...

I'm sure you know this but running an Alky motor fat dilutes the oil with raw fuel pretty darn quick and requires VERY frequent changes. I'm thinking that you might have had a crankcase flash off....
