I had a stock bottom end 68 lincoln 460 with comp...

I had a stock bottom end 68 lincoln 460 with comp cam's k-kit 280h (magnum cam).

230/230 @ 0.050" on a 110 - made 180psi cranking pressure and ran fine on 93 octane with max timing , and 180 deg...

The above would be for a BBF in a truck application...so no radical cam's...I mean...

I don't know the valve length - it is an assembled long block. I was hoping to not pull the heads but I may have to.

Most rebuildable heads will clean up at .010...maybe the deck another...

Another pushrod length question - stock setup

Buddy has a fresh from the machine shop 429 that he bought off the person that had the work done for him and then changed directions.

This engine is for a dump truck and will see low rpm use.

mine is doing the same thing but it "feels" that it's engaged in 4-lo but only the front spins....any ideas where to look first? do I have to drop the case to inspect it?
