I have not read this entire thread but long story short forged pistons are more forgiving.I have run Keith black pistons in the past they did ok. I would not take a chance on anything but a forged...

I had this happen before and had to much valve...

I had this happen before and had to much valve spring pressure and was bleeding out the lifters went to a lighter spring problem solved .

Unknown passes was in a motor I bought . The discoloration is not rust I think it spray glue that was used on intake gaskets $125 shipped firm 9375043387
