The above would be for a BBF in a truck application...so no radical cam's...I mean...

I don't know the valve length - it is an assembled long block. I was hoping to not pull the heads but I may have to.

Most rebuildable heads will clean up at .010...maybe the deck another...

Another pushrod length question - stock setup

Buddy has a fresh from the machine shop 429 that he bought off the person that had the work done for him and then changed directions.

This engine is for a dump truck and will see low rpm use.

i had a stock 68 460 with comp 280 k kit and removed hump in the heads with rpm intake, 2500 converter, 3.50 gear, 3500lbs - 112mph and 14mpg

I be it would've loved the c460 cam or an rpm cam.

I think it will peak around 54-5600 installed "straight up". I woudl shift 55-5800. If you've never run a bias ply car at 100+ ease into a full pass...it will move around on you.
