I've done it a lot over the years. Go slow and be careful. What you DON'T want to do is jack it up under the balancer with a fully dressed big block. Those things are heavy! Lol.

Front Runners are made lighter than a standard DOT tire, so I'd be careful of punctures with them.........if their even DOT legal. It'll say on the tire whether they are or not.

My suggestion is to stay away from the Edelbrocks and go with the Holley. Infinitely more adjustable and the new carb that you buy will, in all likelihood, have the anti-backfire pellet already...

Any chassis that is not set up with a 12 point or better cage set up will have too much flex for a solid mount set up, not to mention that side...
