She sounded real good and very responsive.
Maybe this weekend. loss of interest due to issues. For those that upgrade from a 10 bolt A460 tfs to a 18 bolt head. Don't use the 10 bolt studs. To short, 1/8 inch on poly lock side and 1/2 short on cyl head end for the exh side stud causing improper fitment of girdle. Binding and side loading.18 bolt studs on the poly lock side of stud has about a 1/4 inch more threads towards the base also.. Simple fix use 18 bolt stud kit and a lil massaging on exh side of stud girdle edges to sit in its happy spot .
Broke 1 on fire up losing rocker arm and pushrod. When pulling girdles off and inspecting for other damage. another was broke but pushrod and rocker were unharmed, the girdle did its job.. Bye the trick flow stud kit. Cheaper than bying 2 sets of diff lenght studs from arp. Trickflow studs are and say arp on them.
I used the ARP stud kit 235-7202 if my memory is close . Longer base thread for the exhausts. I used a jomar girdle and jomar nuts. Sorry to hear you broke some stuff. It was OK on the dyno?
Yup jomar girdle here to. Wasn't inspected after dyno.
Ran 8.80@156 mph black trackin about 30 ft. 5200 on the brake and 7200 through the lights. A few tenths slower than expected. My unported box stock 557 ran 9.15@147. It made 3 hits today and didn't get towed back once. Its an improvement from first time out.
