I prefer used to save on cost and would like for to be within driving distance from SC. My bottom end came apart last Saturday on my a headed 545 and Im looking to buy pieces a little at a time. I had a stock block converted to 4 bolt with billet caps built by ted fischer at engine systems . Very nice piece except for the ohio crankshaft rotating assembly that failed and took whole bottom end. block, rods, crank, diamond pistons oil pan all gone . So Im buying a piece at a time. looking for a block first. Thanks Guys. .
If you don't mind what rods were they H-Beams or Aluminum? I was thinking about one of there kits but not so sure now, can the crank be fixed? how many pistons and rods can be saved? I use to live in Indianland, S.C. thats rite outside of rockhill and I really miss it!!!!
Looks like crank can be fixed. It just scarred up the rod journals that broke (3&7) but I havent taken it apart .
