All I have to say is Myron is the man! Welding radius arms up making them grow and extra 12" Now to see if I can find me a new set of coilovers for the front and be done with it

Good stuff Karl!! Snap a few pics when ya get'r done!! What coil overs you going with? I was thinkin of switching to that but the short stroke shocks worry me a bit for rough pits

Don't know yet. Still trying to get clarification from some of the tracks I go to. I don't want to limit myself to 1 or 2 places just because of my front shocks/coils where I can run all of them with the stock coil springs and seperate shocks.

Working on the sand drag truck have a new pro system alcohol carb with a mafia intake and running paddle tires gutted my front end to lose some weight

Well I finally have got back to working on the ranger I have safety inspection this weekend so I have got it far enough that it will drive on the trailer under its own power (front wheel drive ) still have to put in my yukon 3rd member in and 35 spline mosers along with a bunch of other little things but hope to be racing by the end of the month!

After I got the coolent lines ran yesterday I weighed it and it came in at 2,900lbs. I still have to add lexan, another battery and few other little things. so going to be close to 3,000lbs when done

how much lighter is that then the old rig? I wanna make mine lighter but I want to keep the body, and if I wanna stick with the '79, light weight costs alot LOL

Myron, are you running lexan or glass? Those stock pieces of glass weigh a ton! Also, are you still running the factory floor pan? You'd be amazed at how much weight you will drop by cutting that out and going to a .040 aluminum floor and firewall.


In other news, got the front end move almost finished up, will weld in the front bars for the roll cage this weekend and drop the new motor down in the frame this week. Won't give all the details, but the little A headed 488 I put together made a nice chunk into 800hp on gas
