Default shift rpm

hey guys i got a 473 with a c6 with a transgo shift kit i put in it with kickdown engaged it shifts at 5000 but it likes 5900 shifting manually how do i get it to shift at this rpm on its own or is it not possible 77 f150 2wd driver

What vaccumm modulator do you have? The black stripe one holds the shifts the longest.

Modulator and kickdown adjustments only go so far.

I've known other people lighten the secondary governor weight or:

I think I'd either want to get a few spares to play with or ask someone that has done this to help, as I assume it would be a lot of trial and error.
