Guys what NHRA needs is some type of run what you bring, grass roots racing to get local fans in the stands. The WWF programs that they are moving from track to track and putting on TV is like watching WWF.
I dont have the answer, but I would start with more door slammers on TV for the youth to relate to, then I would limit the motor to only being able to use one motor and not being able to rebuild between rounds. This would slow things down but it might give teams a chance to make some money and open the door for new teams. Something has to change. Loved it in the early 70's before big money took over.

Now with Ford pulling support for the pros, I wouldn't doubt Larry going back to MOPAR.

Well Larry missing the last race of the year. I think Larry should lick his wounds and change manufactures. Ford's lack of help is pitiful! Many of us have been posting/watching this thread with the hope a Ford would at the very least qualify number 1.

After hearing WJ's interview he seems to be very bitter, funny how things go when your #1 and then you get a touch of reality. He made a good point about the cost to run a PS car.

It is too bad they could not get things going. But something is going to happen with this Pro Stock class. They can't keep going they way they are with what it cost per race and the money they win or receive from sponsorship not really covering it. We were looking at doing some sponsorship in Pro Stock, but the coverage and return on investment is not there. Heck many of these teams are paying $50,000 per race just to rent engines, not including all other expenses. I think they will end up going small blocks. I would love to see the class totally revamped going to more factory vehicles end engines, like what is happening with the factory stock class.

NHRA Pro Stock is BOOOOrrrring. All the cars look the same and only a handful of teams have the money to compete on the same level. NHRA needs to pull their head out of their ***.

Looks like Larry is still in the same boat he was last year. Qualifying at near the bottom and doing his best driving on the tree. Still doesn't have the top end HP to win against the top teams. To bad I really like Larry, I feel sorry for him not being able to go more than one round must be eating at him and his team. Ford should be embarrassed to let the Ford fans down like this.

I agree. I am glad to see he didn't sell his Ford stuff and call it quits.

Default Larry's a nice guy!

Mark Wolfe is in Vegas this weekend running Pro Stock. Yeah. Mark said on his Facebook page that Larry Morgan called him and offered him a powerplant if Mark could get to Vegas. Mark said Larry and Mrs Morgan really made it happen. I wish nothing but the best of luck to both of those guys.

Going to be tough for both of them as they didn't qualify very good. Mark is testing some stuff for Larry. Mark said he tested some new carbs for him. He also said Larry is having serious clutch problems stuff they never seen before.
