Can you use a "stock" block or will they only work on a C&C aluminum block?

That's a question I get asked a LOT. THESE LIKE ALL THE OTHER BOSS 429 HEADS,C9AE,DOAE,A441,ETC WILL FIT ON ANY BLOCK, 18 BOLT OR 10 BOLT

Ive been installing BOSS 429 heads on stock block my self since the early 80's.

they also ALL FIT SVO ALUM BLOCKS,A96,ETC ETC, and yes a stock block


That's for asking ,I don't mind answering

CURIOUS why you ask about C & C blocks in general?

I thought that a C&C block was the only race block available new. I wasn't sure about what they would fit. I knew you could put B9 heads on a stock block but didn't know if bore sizing came into play. Thanks for the info Rich, now I have to start saving. What about valve covers and intakes? Thanks again.

no they are 4.9 bore space,so they will fit eliminator, c &c, and the rest no problem

will also be doing valve covers,but theres lot of those out there that also fit

When all 4 of the runners have the same angle. 2 of those runners will work really well, and the other two not so well.

Case in point.... / / / /. They need to be straightened. I put a 1/2 plenum spacer on my very worked over A/R mag. intake. I think helped getting carbs more centered on the 4 odd runners. Remember I'm not bashing these iconic heads, just pointing stuff out.

no, lol not taking its as bashing. a good intake changes the runner to react differently
