who makes a good spool for a dana 80 other than the $1250 haisely one also anything need beefed up while im in the mock up stages

Lincoln, century, Miller, Hobart.......... lots of companies.

No, but seriously,many guys around here just weld them up, I just done a Dana 80 a couple months ago.

i seen yukon makes a spool for $650 how about puttin bridge from the backing plate flange under the pig to the other backing plate flange

That would help eleminate some flex but I don't really know if it is needed, 14 bolts benefits from this but I believe and 80 would be OK without.

as much those axles go for maybe i should brace it my hitch works from the bottom side of axle and traction bars off top side

I just run the street stock class right now, I have built a few others , I am currently putting together a cheater stock truck (Cast heads, NO dommies, 514 cubes) for a freind and hoping to get started on my ProStock motor soon.

i run a 70 with welded gears in a super stock class never had problems in so far 12 years but gm 14 bolt have a lot mor option;s that a dana 80 and a 3rd pinion bearing where the 60/70/80 dont

I used to run an 80 with 4.62 gears and wire welded spiders with no problems, and it was behind a 532 motor with 900 hp. I wouldn't think u would have a problem with one unless it bounced like a yo-yo. lol
