Thumbs up

Here's some results from the Feb 1993 Super Ford magazine Dove-C heads and a 460 CI Engine cam was a .513 and .518 duration was 216 and 228 at .050.

Stock Intake=409.4 HSP at 5,000 rpm and 520 lb.tq. at 3,250 rpm
Offenhauser Portosonic=424.4 HSP at 5,000 rpm didn't give tq.
Ford Power Parts 4250=423.6 HSP at 5,000 rpm and 497.7 lb.tq. at 3,500 rpm
Weiand 8012=429.4 HSP at 5,000 rpm and 505.7 lb.tq. at 3,500 rpm
Ford Power Parts 4250B=433.4 HSP at 5,000 rpm and 508.7 lb.tq. at 3,500 rpm
Edelbrock Performer=434.6 HSP at 5,000 rpm and 518.9 lb.tq. at 3,500 rpm

Hope this helps would be interesting to see how the newer Performer RPM or Torker intake would have worked on that combo.

Later Mark.

I would imagine the stock intake is hurting your combo quite a bit with that cam and ported heads. What size carb are you using?

I would jump on those victor intakes from Lem if you could i have a combo close to yours and took off the stealth 8012 and put on a victor and it was as responsive as the stealth and more up top and thats with the victor way off on the port match too the stealth was port matched perfect so i cant wait to see how the victor performs when its port matched.

yeah i saw that the ports did not match. so it is possible to port match the victor to the c9 heads? my heads are a mild port. mainly removed the giant hump in the heads and cleaned up all the casting marks and milled out a little more. i will have headers soon on it. also would the victor handle a 225 shot of nitrous? also i found the stealth intake for 195 shipped new. good deal?

More than likely it could probably use a bigger carburetor to IMO.

Is this a street engine? If so, how much time are you spending above 4000 rpm?

I would speculate there would be about a 50 horsepower increase going to a "Torquer II" intake manifold.
