Cool

It is a victor intake in name only as it is based on the Torquer II intake manifold.

http://www.who-sells-it.com/cy/edelb...-fullsize.html

Nice to see them step up as this intake is needed though the aftermarket does have converted victor intakes for multi port injection available.

Darn! Pretty sure I need a Victor...6500 rpm upper range for a 460 may not be enough for a 553.

The Edelbrock EFI is much cheaper than buying a Victor and shipping it off to have it converted for $400 more.

It says it will not fit 429 CJ heads....wonder if that means it will not fit SCJ's?

Saw that intake advertised six months ago. They still have not added it to their regular site and have to wonder if it actaully is available to buy.

The intake is based on the Torker II and won't match a CJ or SCJ port as the port is taller. Normally you could port the intake to match the CJ port roof, but in this case you cannot because of the fact the injector is located in the port roof. Provided it will seal, which it should unless Edlebrock took material away around the ports you could use the intake on a CJ/SCJ head , but you will be leaving HP on the table. Steve

Well, if it ain't going to cut it for your 553, it's kind of a moot point complaining about the $400 conversion cost. It will be even better if you the the TFS "Mafia" intake, but that costs more than the Victor, but less porting costs. And yes a 429 CJ and the aluminum Ford SCJ head intake port at the flange are the same.

Check this out! http://www.cprparts.com/products/airfuel/spyder.html

To my knowledge these are Victor manifolds converted to efi.

Does anyone know where this manifold can be bought?

If so, please let us all know!

Tom

Cool

John Kaase posted test results on a torquer 2 vs a victor both ported and unported.

Here is the thread...

Hmmm, might be just the ticket for a built-for-midrange 521 that won't see the high side of 5500.
