picked up this 92 bronco for 800.00 bucks going to make it the new sand drag racer going to put the 552 and the c-6 along with the rear end from the current truck. going to gut the hell out of the bronco trying to figure out how much wieght i can drop. my current truck is 4700 lbs the bronco is 4500 with everything in it. any idea how much LBs i can drop.
here is what i currently have
3800lbs if you gut the the bed floor and tub it with .040 aluminum. skin every body panel including the cab . That was with aluminum head 545/c6/gutted np208.
But which cage from them? They offer an EWS, DOM, and Chromoly versions. The EWS is the heaviest. Also, watch where you remove weight. Removing from the front/mid is good, removing from the rear only (which is where it is the easiest) can hurt you if you don't go back and strategically place weight back in where it's needed.
Sorry got the Dom
cage posting from the hospital with my grandson
and most of the weight will come from the front and mid areas
