I have the p-51 heads, Trick flow intake, Eagle Forged 4.3 crank, Eagle 6.8 rods Je pistons (flat tops with 13.5 cr) K-1 kaase cam ( .791/.787 ) (273/280) 109 lsa 1150 dominator.
all parts new looking at going 10.50 in a 3300 lb fox mustang with c-6 unknown stall. or gears. All opinions welcome
Next item to buy is the heads gaskets, Is this something I should wait on the Machine shop to get info from or is there a recommended head gasket for a 13.5 -14.1 comp N/A engine?
You may want to ask your builder what thickness the head gaskets should be to acheive your CR goal. Either way, i would get multi layered gaskets. either felpro or commetics
I assume you already bought most of the parts? I have a complete 533 with Blue Thunder heads, very similar to what you're looking for if you're interested. It's complete, intake to pan, 13.8:1, forged Eagle crank, MSD crank trigger and choice of either single dominator or sheet metal tunnel ram. Should make between 800 - 850 HP.
