Most bang for your buck , slightly Larger cam, lifters and stronger springs, non retarded timing set (for older model 429/460) ,headers, port match intake and exhaust to gaskets and remove exhaust humps, better flowing exhaust system, perhaps aluminum intake, slightly larger carb, beef up your firing system, upgrading to D0VE heads is a good idea. That should put you there. If not on a budget the sky is the limit! Look through this ford forum and listen to what these guys are saying, some good advice on here. IMHO it all boils down to ones budget, because MONEY is fast!!!!.
