Does the machine shop need the complete rotating assembly to balance a crank?
I mean, does he need all of the pins, rings and bearings
Thanks

piston , pins , rods, crank , flex or flywheel, balancer 1 set of rod bearings, 1 set of piston rings make sure they stamp your crank with the bob weight for future use its good to have piston and rod weight stamp to that way u wont lose them

Ok, i got my rotating assembly back from the machine shop and as far as i can see it all looks good. It didnt need any weight add. Looks like the front counter weight got drilled alot and one of the drill holes got a little thin to one side. Is that ok? Im gonna mic it again tonite and i think the oil slingers color is slightly differant. Would that be from the cleaning?
Thanks

Location of the drill holes is not vert important. Even breaking through on one side happens quite often when a lot of weight is to be removed. Looks ugly but, structurally doesn't matter.
