I want to use 1 1/2" spacers on my k member to lower the motor I was looking for info on what to use for springs to level out the car I would like go use the stock k member and use stock type springs instead of spending the money on coil over kit do I have to cut stock type springs 1 1/2 to level out car I am using 90 /10 struts also I am putting a flaming river manual steering rack in do I have to do anything with the shaft when I use the spacers thanks
I used spacers with the stock K member . I used coil over kit to get the ride height. I could not get the front low with off the shelf headers. I would get the car together with the headers and see how much clearance you have.
If I had to do it again, I wouldn't use the spacers. I have 2" hookers and with the change in height and thus the change in angle for the shaft, we had a terrible time in getting a shaft thru the firewall and hook up. It's not like the hood was gonna shut anyway. lol
We put some coils on over the 90/10's that were on the car.
