Paul, that's a great idea.

Van's craftsmanship is second to none. The new car is going to be first class.

Van and I got a lot of work done yesterday. We finished the sleeves for the step downs and were able to get the chassis in a rough mock up.

Got a UPS delivery today. Great stuff from Mark Williams. The front axle is a 3 inch drop. I should have some more pics on Sunday.

We got 10 uprights fitted and tacked in place yesterday. It's time consuming to hand fit each upright but they came out great. Oh we had Tommie's again, life is good.

I've been working on the Bug Catcher. New shaft and working on the shine.

While the other fuel guys were in Bakersfield running the CHRR we were busy with the new car. Van, Jeff, double A Bob, and I got the front axle mounted and the diagonals cut and tacked in place. Homework for this week is clutch disk maintenance on about 30 disks. Pay no attention to Jeff's treasonous t-shirt!

One way to get a squirrely, 120-inch wheelbase Fuel Altered planted firmly on the ground: eat a lot of donuts to increase vehicle weight with driver.

I talked to Blake Bowser from Bakersfield yesterday at the NHRA World Finals. We were given the OK to enter the Nostalgia Fuel Altered class at the 2014 March Meet.

We got more uprights in-place yesterday, the leg cross member, diagonals, and ate at Tommies. The plan is to have the car at the 2014 March Meet (we're pre-entered N/FA).

Kind of cool happening yesterday. Nitro Jeff, Dr Van, Double A Bob and I were building the Paladin. We were going to run a set of unpolished Super Tricks and Van says that he has a set of polished ones in his garage. We pulled them down and there are original shipping labels saying ship to Carroll Shelley Enterprises Gardena, CA.
