Lightbulb Blueprinting my stroker build

Well I have been building my truck for over 12 years now. I am still a few years away from finishing it, but I am at a point where I am starting to buy parts to use for mock-up.

I am stuck at home sick right now, so I have been reading up on all the wonder that is BBF!

I am wanting to do a stroker build, but want to make it reliable and low maintenance.

1. Intended use
Street/Strip engine in a 3800# Truck. Want to drive it to the track and be in the 12s range for the 1/4 mile. The truck will have A/C and P/S.

2. Vehicle info (weight/gearing/trans)
'63 F-100 SWB. 3800#, TKO-600RR trans, 3.70:1 9" rearend, 275x55R18 tires (30" dia)

3. Fuel desired to use
I would like to run pump gas. 87-93 octane.

4. Parts you already have
'73 460 block. Stock Bore. and all the other stock parts.
D3VE-A2A Heads
Edelbrock Performer Intake (have to run a lower intake due to hood clearance issues.)
Custom headers. 1.75 prim, 3" duels with X-over pipe and electric cutouts.

5. Proposed Budget
Don't really have one. I would rather get what I want and not worry about $$

6. Location this may help to find a good machine shop
Wichita KS

I would like to try my hand at porting the D3VE-A2A heads. The stock crank is in great shape so I am thinking of doing a 4.14 offset grind.

Here are my questions:
1) What size Intake and exhaust valves should I go with? 2.20/1.75?

2) With porting and bigger valves, are there any other mods to the heads that should be done?

3) Are the stock rods okay for a mild stroker like this? I know that the bigger strokers need better rods as well as longer ones.

4) I like the DSII system. I have always run it on my engines. However, I don't know if it will have enough power for this build. I have heard bad things about the MSD boxes in the last few years. Quality problems mostly. What would you guys suggest?

1: 2.20/1.75 would be fine

2: D3 heads will require either a stud conversion kit, machining for studs, or a specific rocker made to work with the pedestal mounts....if you're planning to use roller rockers.

3: Offset grinding will require new rods for use with a smaller journal. BBC dimension 6.700 or 6.800 length are most commonly used. The only stroker crank that uses stock 429/460 rods is sold by Ford Racing, and I wouldn't suggest a stock rod stroker for anything but a tow truck.

4: Duraspark is fine. I run an HEI distributor on my car.
