Default Scatter Shield???

My new motor ahould be in the neighborhood of 600 HP. It is going in a full-size Bronco with 35's. I don't plan to actively race it at a track where there are safety rules to follow- just a little romping around in the dunes.

I am running a SFI flexplate and new ARP bolts. Should I be running a scatter shield or is that reserved for the 1000+ HP crowd?

Flex plate meaning an automatic? Would not worry about it. Now if you meant flywheel as in manual transmission with a clutch yes get a scatter shield if you turn it much over stock RPM. Is nice to keep one's feet.

Yes- C6, 3000 stall and the truck weighs around 4500-5000 lbs. The combination with the torque load of the paddles has my friend concerned. I don't think I have anything to worry about, but I'm just looking for a little reassurance.
