Default windage tray issue

I am doing a 460 build with a stock oil pan and was told I might have clearance issues with the new crank and stock oil pan is it better to have the windage tray welded to the bottom of the oil pan or have it bolted to the engine block is one way better than the other also if I weld it inside the oil pan does it need to be in a certain position can it be on the bottom of the pan or does it need to be closer to the top were I have the pick up tube below the w/tray does anybody have pictures of there windage tray installation????

As far as your build goes...

They sell oil pans with trays installed (welded) into them already. Have you seen them? I don't really know of any benifits of having the windage tray welded into the pan vs. having it intalled with a main bolt kit...I have a Canton Windage tray and It looks like it will hold up perfectly ( I have yet to fire up my new engine build). I just posted this photo but it may benefit you.
