3x2 Intake for 429/460; Do they exist?

. . . and if they do, was there anything factory Ford that used them, and where can I get my hands on one?
I did an internet search, and couldn't scare up anything worthwhile.

Project Truck: 1980 F-350. 460 to go in place of blown up 400. Borg-Warner 4 speed, and 4.10's. Was originally a Welding/Service truck for Santa Fe railroad in Newton KS.

January 22, 2010: Dad brought home a 1988 F-350 with an EFI 460, ZF-5SPD, 2WD, 3.54's Regular Cab, Flatbed.

Mother's day 2012: Brought home Dad's ol' '79 F-250Custom. Factory 460, C6, 2WD with 3.54 Rear end, Tilt, cruise, A/C. Dealer installed Dually kit. Super Deluxe Two-Tone Dark Walnut Glow and Camel Sand.

They do exist, Ford did make a few. They never came from the factory on a car. They are rare, but if you keep looking I'm sure one will pop up for sale, just may be expensive... Steve

Well, shoot. It'd be nice if some aftermarket company reproduced them. In my mind, there wouldn't be anything cooler than a trio of 2bbls on top of a 385 series!

I'm pretty sure that I've recently seen one of the major intake manufacturers that was advertising one....

Cool

I know they made a few. I believed them to be experimental pieces and didn't know that they were commercially marketed over the Ford parts counter. They were cast at the Buddy Bar casting facility in southern California, where much of Ford's experimental/initial castings were produced.

I saw a 2-plane Fo-Mo-Co tri-power 429 manifold on ebay a couple years ago when I was looking for a "Mini-Plenum" manifold. That particular one was at around $1,800.00.
Offenhauser made a 3 two barrel top for their tunnel ram which was available at one time but, they weren't very popular and probably not many were ever sold.

Just use a Blue Thunder dual-quad intake. They work REALLY well, LOL.

Paul, you are correct, they also made a few dual quad manifolds but when the hi-po market died with insurance rates and gas shortage, Ford supposedly ordered them all destroyed. But a few got out in fact the blue thunder dual quad is a copy of one of the Buddy-Barr manifolds. The tri-power was supposed to counter the Dodge six-pak. Man I sure wished they were arround. Its kinda like the Shelby dual quad for the boss 302 if you find one and the guy knows what he has expect to pay $2500 for the bare casting.

Yes they do exist years ago at the All ford Carlisle show there was one for sale without carbs but with linkage for 2500.00 this was 15 years ago. It had an SK part number on it. I am looking for the pictures that I took of it. I wanted it so bad but didn't have the money. It was an impressive sight. The FE tri-power air cleaner fits as well as the FE fuel log if my memory serves me correct.
