460 industrial build
have a low hour 1999 460 ford industrial. Cylinder pressure all came in between 180-185 psi
Hoping that it has the SCJ cam, and straight up efi double roller timing set When i get back moving on this i will verify
Downside...it has e6te heads with small 1.508" exhaust valves??. Intake valves are normal 2.088"
Thermactor bumps with no holes in them. I am following scott's instruction porting the heads.
Probably going to keep the D0OE intake, would there be a benefit to switching to a performer if i found a used one cheap?
Definitely going to put on 1-3/4" longtubes and 2.5" duals
Will curve the dizzy, i hear the propane motors have an aggressive curve and i may have to dial it back. WE will see
After much deliberation I am going to just port the heads and leave everything else stock in the spirit of a true budget build for an old beater ford truck i have.
This will be replacing a tired 400 so the improvement will be huge even stock.
Any guesses on hp and torque for the above with decent port job and 750 carb? without the SCJ cam?
Any tips to tweak some more power out for cheap? I priced just having the block 0 decked, but i dont think it makes sense given everything else
no more toys
