Efi heads?

Hello all, first time posting here. Starting a build and have not found any heads besides stock refurbished ones for a ‘96 block, I’m assuming this is because of the efi. All heads I have seen are for engines before 1987. Has anyone found heads meant for post 1987 engines? Will these heads work for mine?

Thanks,
Dylan

Cool

There are no dedicated performance castings for the EFI architecture.

Having said that a properly sorted out EFI engine with a custom cam, Pocket ported heads and intake runner work WILL make 380 to 400 hp and 500 to 525 lb feet of torque all while operating quite well with the OEM EFI system and an adjustable FPR from aeromotive.

Headers and free flow exhaust as well as low restriction intake are needed.

Any more HP and the power band moves up out of that which is appropriate for a work engine.

Do you have to pass Cali emissions?
