We have bags of OEM head bolts on the shelf cleaned and wire wheeled.

OEM style bolts are also available.

I have a set of OEM head bolts with washers that came in on an aluminum headed engine.

In our shop we use ARP bolts or studs with aluminum heads.

Ok. I was under the impression from reading other posts that ARP bolts are a "want" but definitely not a "need". Maybe I should go with ARP.

Whatever you choose soak them in oil before installing to prevent galling.

Don't get me wrong. OEM head bolts are very good however the heads are very large and the outer row can be too short for some heads.
OEM style replacement bolts are not as good as the ford oem bolts imo.

What kind of castings are you using?
