Well if I remember right it depends on what box you got. Look at the small plastic grommet on the box where the wiring comes out of it. Should be blue, but could be red or yellow I think.

What color do you have?

red-ignition positive (same as positive coil except before balast resistor)
If your ignition wire is not hot in the start position you need to also
hook this into the other small post on yoour selenoid
white-start selenoid (timing retard)

green-negative coil and tach
purple-distributor purple
orange-distributor orange
black-distributor black

hope this helps

if your using a togle switch and push button start its cake

hot wire to togle switch. from toggle switch to starter button, ignition module red, and balast resistor. from the other side of the balast resistor to positve coil. from the starter button to the selenoid and to the white wire on the duraspark box.

there should be some fuses if there too.

:?: i am so confused. i suck at electrical work. ok the red and the white wire. what i am looking at the white wire goes to the ignition switch. then where does that go from there. i know i should have a ballast resistor but i dont have one yet so how do i wire it up with out it. what wire goes to my start switch. i have a momentary start switch i dont have the button the switch is in middle position but go up or down to start either way. white wire goes to ignition switch then on the same switch on the bottom prong go to the start switch. i dont know i think ill need step by step instructions.

If you need some of the harness, I could get you most of it.

ok

the white wire is actually optional all it does is retard the timing on startup to help reduce the pressure put on the starter. if you hook it up then it hooks to the same placwe that the wire from your momentary starter switch goes to. it will atach to the same place that the wire running to the selenoid that activates it and the starter. the red wire hooks to your ignition switch. it needs to be hot whenever the switch is in the run position.

if you dont use a resistor just ignore it and hook the hot wire straight to the coil. ive heard that this will melt ythe gue out of the ds box though

ok let me get this straight i dont need the white so ill cross that out. but step #1 take red wire from box. put it on the toggle switch "ign" from the switch run it to the start button off the bottom prong. then run a hot wire from the battery or power source to the mementary start switch. am i right. red wire goes to ignition switch then to start button then to power source. :?: i am very bad at electrical thanks for your post on helping me.

ok
the same place that the wire hooks to feed the fuel pump is where you need to get the hot wire to feed the red wire on the DS box, positive coil, and a feed to the momentary starter switch (probably the middle terminal but not sure). then either the top or bottom terminal of the start switch will run to the starter selenoid. the negative coil wire runs to the green on the ds box and to your tach. the purple orange and black wires just hook to the distributor.
