Roll Cage

I'm getting ready for work and a question popped in my mind after reading a thread.......I ordered a 10pt cage for my car so i'm legal at the the track....does the Nhra rules state that it has to be TIG welded in or is MIG ok?...I was discussing this with friends....I also need to get a new copy of the rule book........thankx.........hails!.......D

if it is a moly cage it has to be tig welded if it is mild steel it can be mig or tig

Yeah its mild steel.....I was gonna mig it and one of my friends was telling me I cant........didnt know if something had changed.......hails......D

as stated earlier that is the way to weld it ,you cannot stick weld it anymore according to ihra rule books .................ron
