385'ers and Drag Racing near Austin, Texas????

Posted this a few months back on the old board and can't find the post...

Anyway, I'll be moving to Austin (looking for a house to rent [really need 3 bedrooms with an 8 car garage ] in Georgetown - northern suburb of Austin), Texas next week. Trying to figure out the local scene as far as cruise nights, upcoming events (see there is an FFW near DFW in Sept) drag racing, local 385 folks, Fairlane owners, etc.

Fairlane has been neglected for the past several months and need to rectify that. Time to get to the strip and see if I can dip into the 9's.

Anyone in the area?

Scott

Welcome to the neighborhood! Go to http://centexhotrods.com to find out about local racing action. Randy David, one of the originators of the site has a 10.5" tire BBFox car that runs low 8's .

There are a few BigBlockFox members in the Austin and SanAntonio areas. I'm on the North side of Canyon Lake, between Austin and S.A. I work in Austin.

I guess y'all race in San Antonio? Anyone been to the track in Temple? Think that's going to be a bit closer to me.

Also checked out the CenTex site. Good stuff.

Will try to make the Fairlane meet in Fort Worth on 20 Oct.

Thanks,

Scott
