my controversial post

i posted this on another thread that concerned one of my previous;i just figured id leave this for all to see before they judge me on it before they know the facts.... and ill try to place stuff in the right spot in the future so we dont have any more of this. the kind of negative responses ive been reading arent that of this forum, as i enjoy every bit of knowledge i pick up from here, without the bickering and general childishness you receive on lesser forums. BBF is my pride and joy, so please dont question my loyalty to the engine, the brand, or the forum.
anyhow:

(QUOTE) ROFL, im sorry guys, im the guy who (yes im ashamed) posted the deal about hondas, i should have named that topic entirely different, and now its going to be a joke for about 4 months.

NOT my intention to spark up a dumb flame war about hondas, that wasnt even the point of the thread.

i just had an honest to god question about how torque was made because i had a lack of understanding...

anyhow its done been killed hopefully..... next time ill rethink what im typing as a topic and ill move that type of question over here... i now know where stuff goes.

sorry again, Dave. Rolling Eyes

My brother built his own Honda civic running a Holset turbo off a Cummins.

Best time yet is 12.01 117mph in the 1/4 with a 1.96 60ft 1/8 mile et is a 7.78 at 94mph. Running BFG drag radials, full interior.

He could have made 11's that evening but an axle locked-up and was pulling towards the wall, so he decide to let up!

Dyno 280whp @ 12lbs

Fun little car but he has also broke 10 axles in one race season and averages 2.0 60

The Honda is now for sale and he is putting an LS1 in a 84 fox body.

Duke,

Here is a little info for you, I met a guy a few years back at a tractor pull near Gatlinburg Tn. we got to talking about fords , and one of his cars was an older model station wagon that had a stock 460 with twin 88 turbo coupe turbo's in it .

He said he knew they were to small but just for kicks he mounted them in a draw through set up and carried it to an import tuner shop in Georga. After he got through tuning it made over 700 ft lb's tq. at around 2000 rpms and a tick over 300 hp at around 4400 rpm at the rear wheels.

I can't remember the exact figures, but I read about this same guy in Hot Rod a few months later . He said the import guys at that shop were just totaly dumb founded. They were used to seeing those numbers the other way around.
