Being a Missourian myself for years. I was a short track racer were we competed against the track owner that was very hard to beat. Did he have a edge Yes!! That's just the way it was and you had to deal with it. My question to you is do you prep the track the way you need it or the
way it should be for all competitors? All things being equal a person with good equipment that takes the time to understand and study what it's going to take to make a good pass will always win. My example would be Scott Bloomquist his win average is unbelivable on any given track. Because he takes the time to understand it's not all about horsepower. I'll get off my soapbox now! On a side note I kinda think I've been to your place!
Steve
Ps. If they don't like they way it's done offer them to come prep the track on there free time! Never let someone take your fun of racing away!!!!!

no matter what type of racing it is, the tracks the same for everyone. how can anyone say a track owner has an advantage unless theyre talking about being able to practice all they want. which is the key to any kind of racing. sounds like sour grapes to me.

It don't matter weather you own the pit or not somebody has to do the work in order for everyone to play. Like 70429scj said let them know they can come prep the track any time they want if they think it will give them the edge over somebody else.

muddin

Hey, where is this track at? And where do I find out info on some mud races? I think i've been by your place coming from the Boy Scout camp at Knob Lick, going to ILL. (Or, was it S-F?) Either one, I was going too fast to read the signs about where to go to have my own fun in the mud!
Do you have a website?

I drag race and the track owner usually competes with us and lets the help run the race. No favoritism to him and he also makes it easy for someone to pickup $50. He puts a bounty on himself and if you eliminate him you collect.
