timeing systems

anybody out there have any ideas of a good set up for building a starting line christmas tree and stageing beam set up for mud drag raceing or any drag raceing actually. dont really need the timeing part ive already got that covered. and dont need any delayed light drop . or maybe some of you out there know of a drag strip updateing there lights thanks brad

Some EE could probably whoop up something easy. As for used timing systems - those sell for $50K and up, spares and parts won't go cheap even from a dead strip. I think the trees are around $3K used.
